If you know Christine Howey’s work, you are champing at the bit for this new collection of “humorous poetic stylings,” and if you don’t yet know her, my advice: don’t read these pieces while drinking anything you wouldn’t be happy to have shoot out your nose from uncontrolled laughter.

Yes, thank you, it is a lovely room is it not? We particularly enjoy the French doors that open onto the patio. Bright out there? Indeed. Hm, more than white, I’d say. Chalk white, actually, the entire patio constructed from panels sheared from the White Cliffs of Dover. I know, my sunglasses are never far away. But back to the French doors. Handmade in Provence by blind craftspeople who know a thing or two about fashioning invisible dovetail joints.
